Red Hook Makes
A mobile makerspace project:
Red Hook Public Library, Bard College, and the Red Hook Central School District are exploring the possibility of creating a mobile makerspace, which is a truck that provides tools, equipment and the training needed to build, design, tinker, and play with an idea.
Programs that provide training and allow the use of a variety of high tech and low tech tools (e.g., 3D printer, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, sewing machines, laptops, iPads, supplies to make crafts, and books) would be available. The truck would be parked at the high school and at other locations in the Red Hook Community at specific times.
In the meantime, makerspace programming is available at Red Hook Public Library's Libratory (see Red Hook Library calendar) and at Red Hook High School on Tuesdays after-school. This site contains information and tools used in our mobile makerspace initiative.
